Our Newest Obsession: Roman-Style Pizza!

While it’s not exactly new, Roman Pizza is new to us, and as soon as we tried it we knew we wanted to make it. The original Pizza Roman, which originated in Rome in the 1960’s, had a thin, almost cracker-like crust. But in recent years, restaurants in Italy and beyond have developed a thicker crust Roman-style pizza, characterized by a crispy, chewy crust that’s sold by length. In fact, in some shops, the pizzaioli use scissors to cut slices of pizza for their customers!

You may have had a chance to try our Roman-style pizza recently and we’re interested to know what you think. Let us know your impressions in the comments below and feel free to suggest any topping combinations — with Roman pizza, the sky’s the limit!
